I recently discovered New Art TV, a media and production company based in New York City with a focus on producing premium video content on contemporary art. Among their most viewed videos is a two-part studio visit with Wolf Kahn. I found these 18 minutes of video to be very inspiring. It features an excellent glimpse of his studio, many of his paintings, stories about his days as a young artist in the 50′s, and (of greatest interest to me) his desire to get away from “intentionality” and “deliberateness.” I’ll let the video speak for itself … I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks for making these accessible, Mitch. I am a great admirer of his work and really enjoyed the videos.
Thank you so much for sharing these remarkable videos. What a great story which demonstrates once again that lemons can be made into lemonade! I wish there were more to be seen!
Thanks Mitch. Very inspiring, spiritual. What a thing to strive for, loss of intentionality and deliberateness. I have new respect for Kahn.
Very interesting to hear him at age 80 discuss his career and his evolution in style and objectives. The intentionality statement and success in spite of macular degeneration are quite interesting.
Thanks so much for posting these videos Mitch, I thoroughly enjoyed them. Very inspiring and very enriching, what a remarkable man and artist.
I really enjoyed these videos. What a wonderful, talented, articulate man.
